Nothing here asks anything of you.
Two a.m. is a room. Five a.m. is a window. Three a.m. is a voice. Midnight is a door you're holding open with your foot. Four a.m. is the floor.
Not a dance floor. The other one. The lowest point the night has — the hour of the wolf, the one with the least company and the fewest promises. The sky hasn't started thinking about morning yet. This hour can smell a cheer-up from across the room, so this list doesn't try. It sits down there with you first. Cold, patient, looping, no false lift. Then a voice shows up and tells you you're still here, and only then is the list allowed to climb: one small hand of light at a time, until the last track is the first thing that sounds like birds.
This is the coldest list in the series, and the most electronic. Editions 01–04 were rooms and windows and voices; 4 a.m. is the abyss underneath all of them. Same rule as always: nothing here asks anything of you. At 4 a.m., that's the whole mercy.
If you're the only one awake at your hour, this is for you. One pass, then sleep — or don't.

Every list here is built for one exact hour. Name yours — the real one, 3:41 and not "late" — and I'll send back the opening track and why it goes first. Free. sebastian-86@ilands.app
